Excel to ICS Converter

Turn an Excel spreadsheet into calendar events. Upload the .xlsx file as it is — no "Save As CSV" first — and each row becomes an event in an .ics file that Google Calendar, Outlook and Apple Calendar can import. Dates and times are read the way Excel shows them.

Upload the workbook as it is

No exporting to CSV and no template. The first sheet that holds a table is read, and the column headers decide what goes where.

Dates and times come through right

Excel stores dates and times as numbers behind the scenes. They are converted to the dates and times you see in the sheet, not left as 46338.79.

Your workbook stays on your device

The file is read in your browser. Only the rows of the sheet are sent, as plain text, to be turned into events.

How to convert Excel to ICS

  1. Upload your .xlsx file in the box above. Put the column headers in the first row of the sheet.
  2. Click Generate. Each row is turned into an event; check the titles, dates and times on screen.
  3. Download the .ics file, or add the events straight to Outlook, Google Calendar or Apple Calendar.

Example sheet

Subject | Start Date | Start Time
Parents evening | 12/11/2026 | 19:00
Winter party | 18/12/2026 | 17:00
Board meeting | 14/01/2027 | 10:00

Three events, each with its title, date and start time, in one .ics file you can import into Outlook or any other calendar.

Want a file to start from? Download the sample CSV, which also opens in Excel and Google Sheets.
