How to add a flight to Apple Calendar

With this tool (iPhone, iPad or Mac)

  1. Paste your booking above, with the flight number, airport codes, date and times.
  2. Tap Create Calendar Event and check the details.
  3. Tap Add to Calendar, then Apple.
  4. On iPhone or iPad, choose to add the event when asked. On a Mac, the file opens in Calendar.

If nothing appears on your iPhone, open the downloaded .ics file in the Files app and tap Add All (more ways to add an ICS file to iPhone). If your booking doesn’t name a time zone, the event uses your device’s, so check the times before you travel.

From a confirmation in Apple Mail

Open the booking email in the Mail app. If Mail recognises the flight, it shows a suggestion at the top of the message that you can add to your calendar. It doesn’t appear for every airline or for mail read in other apps.

By hand

In Calendar, tap + and use the flight number and route as the title, such as AA 1234 JFK to LAX. Enter the departure and arrival times, and put your booking reference in the notes.
